Having to do it all during lockdown can be extremely tiring…the juggle is real.  So here are some tasty recipes from the Little Dish Family Cookbook to batch cook and pop in the freezer. These are great to reach for when you simply don’t have time to cook from scratch. 

Tomato Soup

Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, our tomato soup is delicious served with a cheese toastie or pitta bread soldiers for dipping. Your little chef can help puree the soup with a hand blender. 

Turkey Bolognese

This recipe is great to batch cook and store for the weeks to come. We use turkey as our meat of choice, but you can use beef if you’re after a more traditional recipe. Serve with spaghetti or tagliatelle and grated Parmesan cheese. 

Healthy Fruit Muffins

Brilliant for little bakers, this recipe doubles up as a fun activity to make as a family. Our recipe makes 12 muffins, and they freeze really well for a speedy breakfast or snack. 

Pesto (with hidden kale)

Our pesto is packed with plenty of hidden green goodness to help get some extra nutrients into your little one.  Serve with pasta, fish, or add to puff pastry straws. Yum!

Spinach & Banana Muffins

This delicious and nutritious muffin recipe was created for us by healthy food writer, Natasha Corrett. Full of spinach and banana, these are a healthy take on a treat that you can stash in the freezer.
